Kanda Fang ’19 has been selected as one of 50 participants in the Television Academy Foundation’s 2019 Internship Program.

Fang, who graduated from the television, radio and film program, is interning at Skydance Interactive in Marina Del Rey, California. She is working in the development for virtual and augmented reality programming department.

Born in Shanghai, Fang will be the first student to intern in the new virtual and augmented programming category offered by the Television Academy Foundation.

The Television Academy Foundation’s annual Internship Program provides 50 paid internships, at top Hollywood studios and production companies, to college students nationwide. The prestigious program gives both undergraduate and graduate students in-depth and hands-on professional experience in a variety of television careers during the eight-week internship.

“After taking a virtual reality course at Syracuse, I became interested in mixed reality media,” Fang said. “I was thrilled to find out that the Television Academy Foundation is including mixed reality development this year. I look forward to using and dedicating all the knowledge I’ve learned in a professional setting.”
