Newhouse students win, final in SPJ Mark of Excellence regional awards

Nine Newhouse students took top honors in the Society of Professional Journalists Region 1 Mark of Excellence Awards for 2016, and 14 more Newhouse students finaled. The Region 1 honorees were announced in New York City on April 11th.

SPJ’s Region 1 includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, eastern Pennsylvania and Vermont.
