You'll begin this year-long program with an intensive summer experience in July. Coursework throughout the year focuses on historical interpretation and research, film production, funding and distribution.

At the heart of the program is the research, design and production of a documentary. Topics explored by recent student films include:

A recent student/faculty collaboration, “300 Miles to Freedom,” tells the story of fugitive slave John W. Jones.
