"Initially, I was thinking the program could be done remotely without the in person experience but I came to realize I was wrong because the beauty of this program is meeting the fabulous colleagues and professors, building relationships and learning from one another as well as from the professors. I was in my late 40s when I did this program as a gift to myself to continue my learning and growth in our profession - and indeed the investment was among the best gifts I’ve ever had. The caliber of the faculty was so strong and I was so stimulated by the knowledge and skills they had - and the preparation and execution of what they shared with us. The benefits of this program were similar to those of a sabbatical. Although it required a lot more work than a sabbatical - the outcome was the same - a renewed energy and commitment to the profession I love so much. I learned so much that I directly applied to my consultation with clients. Not only did I benefit from the experience, but so did my clients and community as I brought a more strategic lens to my work and community service."

"I joined the program as a way to make an investment in myself and my future as a professional communicator. That investment has paid off in a much bigger way than I expected. The academic curriculum expanded my knowledge about the history and theory behind our craft, and helped prepare me to be a far more effective communications strategist. While at the time I assumed that the PR theory would be valuable but not necessarily applicable to practice, I've been fortunate to find a position that allows me to continue exploring the nature and evolution of organizational communications with the Page Society. At the same time, the ability to belong to a cohort, share experiences with them in the residencies and build relationships over our two years together has been the most enduring benefit. I learned so much from our conversations, and continue to appreciate the network into which I have been welcomed by this program."
